Agriturismo Cascina Mirandola

We were supposed to stay for one night, once we arrived we were told that the hotel had overbooking and they could not accommodate us. They say they tried to call us we did not receive any calls or emails. After this huge mistake we had to go sleep in another place, we requested throw booking.com free cancellations- the hotel DID NOT APPROVED our request and charged us for the whole amount .I tried also contacting them directly throw mail, did not help also. This is a theft and I wouldn’t recommend staying here!p

It is a really nice place, lovely staff and food but the road leading up to there is undrivable, our car is quite low and the exhaust caught on a drain that sticks out due to poor maintenance, which caused it to break. It is also very narrow and extremely steep and curvy. The place is amazing as I said but you cannot have customers drive up this road..

An old renovated farmhouse located on a hill which is only accessible by an extremely narrow, rough cobble stoned road with sharp bends. I drove part of the way with my wing mirrors closed. I was worried that I may damage my car on one of the walls on either side of the narrow road. An adventurous drive. Thankfully the staff were very friendly on arrival. An ice cold beer was very welcome after the drive. The evening meal and wine were very good. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet. The room was spacious but very basic, but clean. okay for one night.

This was such a beautiful and remote stay where you can check out a bit and relax. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible. Some tips if staying here: learn some Italian, rent a car to go in and out of Como with ease and just know the beds were okay. Overall, I still rate this place a 10/10 and will hopefully be back in the summer!

Excellent experience – we had such a wonderful time. So many reviews talk about the road to Cascina Mirondola. Yes, it is a bit narrow and some parts require slow speed due to the cobble stones and unevenness of the road, but it can be done safely in most cars, with the exception of the most track-focused sports cars, or an RV, though we did see several delivery trucks of considerable size coming to Cascina Mirondola. The staff is fantastic. Every single person we met was very friendly, engaging, and made sure our stay was enjoyable. This is a working farm with animals sometimes roaming around, which is part of the appeal. Their St Bernard Rocky is a gentle giant and was very friendly to us and our dog. We really enjoyed the farm and its surroundings, taking our dog for several longer walks/hikes. While the room was basic, it was clean and there was everything that is needed. This farmhouse is an old structure that has been and continues to be renovated – again, part of the charm of this place. A few comments indicated challenges with hot water – this was not an issue for us as we had hot water throughout our stay. Enjoying an exquisite dinner in a relaxed, almost family-like environment was a real treat. The local wine was excellent and every single dish a treat. He have not enjoyed ourselves this much for quite some time. For us, our stay was perfect and we will make this our go-to place when we are in the area. Thank you very much team Cascina Mirondola !

The room was very basic with thin walls, poor lighting, thin bedding and ZERO hot water either night or morning. The corridors feature old hay bales so just as well smoking is not allowed. For an 'agriturismo' the restaurant food was atrocious. Most of it straight from Lidl with the supermarket labels still in plain view; the cooking itself lazy and unappetising. The steak tasted of an uncleaned grill, the risotto had no evidence of the chestnuts it was supposed to feature, the soggy vegetables were obviously reheated. Pleasant waitress; nice St Bernard dog. Otherwise we left hungry and grubby.
